Re: Anyone know whose truck this is?

All I know is if you painted your truck medium blue (basecoat/clearcoat) that's what it would look like.

Re: Anyone know whose truck this is?

Not sure if that's medium blue because of the lighting. This is what 506 medium blue metallic looks like. I've studied to death because that was the original color of my truck and it'll go back that color.

Re: Anyone know whose truck this is?

501 was the GM code for Medium Blue. My how monitors and/or people's perception of color varies. Showing a truck to get an exact match of color isn't an accurate way to obtain a color. That metallic truck looks great...great color too. But certainly no where near the same color as truck in question. Ford Grabber Blue? Not on my computer. That's a way brighter shade. This shade is far more classy. Grabber Blue is pretty much the color of a Ford engine, but maybe brighter. The best way is getting in touch with the owner and hoping they have the code.Looks like that's possible now thanks to info from Junorocket. Good job!

Re: Anyone know whose truck this is?

In 67/68 the paint code for Med. Blue Poly was 506. In 69 or 70 it changed to 501. In 69/70 non metallic Medium blue was 510. I think we can agree that its not a metallic color. Here is a pic that claims to be 71 510 medium blue. Looks like the truck in question is a little darker but being dark outside, lighting, age of paint, bc/cc v. single stage are all factors. Too many variables to know for sure.

Re: Anyone know whose truck this is?

Man,that picture looks nowhere near Grabber blue to me. It's shades darker. Like I said, monitor differences. Can't argue with the owner, but these mustangs sure look different on my same monitor
https://www.google.com/search?q=grab...w=1024&bih=609

501 was the 70 1/2 code for Medium Blue, then 510. Poly in a GM paint color name means metallic
