Re: Name that bolt/nut/screw size
Visor to windshield post screw
5/16-18 jackson panhead phillips screw, around .75 or 1.00 long. Very hard to find, however thanks to user bluek5, he found a place here. At the moment they are out, but I have a feeling if many people start placing an order, some will come into stock. http://www.msc-stainless-fasteners.c...on-screws.html Anyone know what screw is used to hold the hatch handle to the hatch? |

Re: Name that bolt/nut/screw size
Good idea for a thread! Pics are a huge help and salvage yard trucks are a wealth of OEM screw/bolt info with regard to type, size, and finish.
Here's the correct bolt w captured washer to affix the e-brake bracket at the dash. Pics show one I just had Parkerized and another installed. There are a few other such unique bolts/screws I can think of, will try to post more.

Re: Name that bolt/nut/screw size
More unique screws/bolts: 12 point screw to attach the hood latch to rad support (note the cool anchor on the head! - not all had these), Phillips head screw to attach the door latch, and trim screw/ferrule to attach a 72 door panel all shown in correct finish

Re: Name that bolt/nut/screw size
Example pics of the screws used to affix the cowl: stainless on top, Parkerized with a captured washer (same as those used to affix the glove box hinge to the dash) under the hood at the cowl to hood seal.

Re: Name that bolt/nut/screw size
deadhead, could you post thread size and lengths on some of these?
Specifically, I'm interested in the one for the ebrake setup. But would like all of them for others restoration projects, even if they cant get the originals. Atleast some off the shelf. |

Re: Name that bolt/nut/screw size
Correct (non)finish on the 9/16" bolts for the door striker plates, which use star washers
