Re: 5 speed venders?
Don't know about forum vendors, but I had a very good experience with American Powertrain when I got my TREMEC.

Re: 5 speed venders?
do you use your stock crossmember for the tremecs or did you have to buy a new one?

Re: 5 speed venders?
I put a 5-speed from an '80's S10 pickup in my '71 SWB.
It has it's original inline 250. Hurst shifter. Great on local driving and freeways.

Summit is a pretty good option. Tremec has “Floor Pricing”. Summit is typically as low as a reseller is supposed to go. They’ve been offering free shipping on most stuff lately. Another thing is their size allows them to take back stuff that can be a hassle with smaller suppliers. I had issues with a Richmond trans. Summit was right there to make it right with no shipping being pushed back to me. |

Re: 5 speed venders?
I bought a complete kit made for our trucks, so it included a crossmember. Also had the clutch, speedo cable adapter, custom shifter, shift handle, shift knob, driveshaft, all the hardware.
