Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that is where a stock vacuum gauge goes. I think only bigger trucks had them.

Yes - its for Vacuum or Air Pressure. Both were in the 40 - 60 series trucks though, not in the 10 - 30 series trucks. A lot of people are finding those dashes and putting them in our trucks now. It really cleans up the look of the dash having that 4th guage in there.

bigger trucks had the vacum or air pressure guages in them, I have seen people stick clocks out of 73-78 trucks and they looked pretty good

Here's a closeup pic for ya Zenish. This is a repro vac gauge but it looks the same as an original from the General.

I know some of the guys sell Tach/vac kits to make your orig. dash a Tach and Vaccum dash. Frank (Pickmup) has them.

I made mine into a snow globe. When I go over bumps it looks real purty. It's particularly spectacular at night when lit up!

Seriously, this pod is empty on series 10-30 trucks from the factory, however all the above info is correct and your stock cluster can be retrofitted to fit your needs.
