Re: NV4500 Conversion ?

Looking at pictures, isn't that the drain plug visible on the high side? Like it is upside down on the floor? Now I'm second guessing my eyeball...

I kept wondering that too. I’ll have to get some better pictures of the bottom of my RH drop 241 tomorrow for comparison.

Re: NV4500 Conversion ?

its a p side drop. the shifter linkage is on the correct side for it. if it was a d side drop, the little lever would be visible in the pic, not underneath

Re: NV4500 Conversion ?

You’re all right, that is a pass drop 241. Looked at mine this morning and that is definitely it. No dual 90 degree bends in a driveshaft needed

Now, if this unit is from a TH400 or SM465 with 32 splines jpmanyhearts will have a winner for an easy bolt together. As mentioned several times above, a 241 from behind a 700R4/4L60 would have 27 splines which is a no go for a NV4500 unless you swap out the tcase front input with a 32 spline piece.

Re: NV4500 Conversion ?

No that one is for a 700r4 or th350 since it has the 4 bolt square flange adapter so it will have a 27 spline input.
