Opinions on Eagle Wheels.
I have been agonizing over what wheels I am going to use on my panel. I have been watching ebay and looking at different websites untill my eyes are crossed. I have found a couple of Eagle styles that I like, but when I went to my local Less Schwab store to have them press in my lower ball joints, I asked them about them. They said that they thought they were made from inferior alloys that dull real fast. I kind of got the drift because they don't sell that brand any more. Can you guys enlighten me some about this. I am either going to go to 18" or 20" wheels and Eagle offers some pretty good prices. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

??? I've never heard this. Most people seem to be real happy with their Eagles.
I'm looking to buy a set of them myself, and I'd like to know if there was anything to this inferior alloy nonsense? |

68CST327, I haddn't heard anything about them either untill I spoke to Schwab about it. They told me that they wouldn't even cary their line because of it. I kind of took it with a grain of salt concidering that they may have been trying to gain a sale. But still, it sticks in my mind.. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

I have owned several sets of eagle wheels and can tell you that I liked them. Yeah, they dont have the finish of a billet specialties or budnik wheel, but look at the price difference. That crap about them dulling is nonsense. I mean you will have to clean them they dont have a clear coat or anything, but that is gonna be true of any wheel unless you get some ghetto chrome bling blingers.

Wes ; I don't know how often others have to clean their wheels but the one's on BB had to be cleaned after about 8 months ,and are just about due again . I've been using CalCustom purple wheel cleaner.

WES-
I can't say anything about the wear on the eagles, but I bought my eagle alloys off of ebay- Rimzonewheels was the screen name. I got a set with caps and lug nuts and free shipping for $385 and I LOVE them- here is a pic- Different size then you, mine are 15x10 - but here is the pic! Diane |

Billett vs cast
That is the question. Cast wheels are more porous, and do take more care to keep them up. I doubt anyone can dispute that. The thing to consider Wes, is . . . . I doubt that after you have all thet work into that panel that it will be driven around on the dirty winter roads as much as the typical family car anyway. And I picture you keeping it in the shop anyway. So the wheels will brobably stay beautiful for a lot longer than the average anyway. Darren
