Re: anyone running turbo?
Hell, even a stock 5.3L is pushing 300-325 hp, and goes pretty good.

Re: anyone running turbo?
There is a local 2010 camaro that is running a 800+ hp LS and you hear him coming. It sounds like an old carbed BBC. I don't know what his mpg is but it drives it enough that it must be close to stock.

Re: anyone running turbo?
Lmc truck is where Im lookin at for most of my parts I know that some people has had bad service with them but I've bought most of my parts from them including a new gas tank and fuel pump and both look great and nothing going wrong with them yet.
On that note they have everything I need to have front disk for 3-400 and extra hundred for performance slotted drilled disk and 300 for master cylinder, and I will be changeing all lines as I get to it that's not a big deal their not too expensive. Their rear disk setup is 999.89 right at a grand I would figure fronts to cost more too but that's not what the book says. I'm buying a 5lug drum axle this week I'm going to strip it and get limited slip gears and rebuild the axle sand blast and power befor I put it in... That will cost around 12-1300 then rear disk jumping it up to another grand it would be nice but just not sure yet. I like punching it every now n then n gettin a little side ways on the corners like I said not much for the top speeds any more been there done that it was fun and it was freighting I don't plan on going over 100 anymore.. I've looked up some 383 I've found a 325hp but it jumps to 405hp is there nothin in the middle there? Aren't the ls really electrical? I plan on getting like a dokata digial for a slick look but how easy is it to hook a ls up? I haven't checked into them yet at all ill do that now. |

Re: anyone running turbo?
It's a three wire hookup (12v power, ground, 12V+ hot in run, and starter signal) when you send off the harness to be re-worked. There are some wiring for gauges and cruise if you want it. Really not bad at all.

Re: anyone running turbo?
On the LS engines, the AC is on a separate drive all together. So you just remove the compressor and belt. Done.

Re: anyone running turbo?
If you are actually serious about this thread an LS is the only way to go if you want a turbo setup. If all you want is to be loud and obnoxious driving down the road get yourself a useless 350 and put some glass packs on it!
