New Glove box door what about a SPID

I am in the middle of restoring my Blazer and the glove box door needs to be replaced the SPID is just about gone and I was wondering how would I go about putting a new on a new glove box door. I know the vin is on it this is my concern about messing around with it.

I did some searching and did not come up with any thing.
