Re: CPP or Porterbult opinions air ride
Porterbuilt has the best product out there in my opinion, and I highly recommend using their stuff. With that said, do what you can do safely within your budget. Find a board vendor that has a shop near CPP and will pick up your order personally and then ship the order to you, I think Justin at Scott's used to do this. Sweet Burb!

Re: CPP or Porterbult opinions air ride
Welcome to the board 1968burban, very cool burb. I just spent $2000. at PB with Dave what a great guy, not a pushing sale,s man. I got the crossmember with adjustible trailing arms and the front upper and lower tube control arms 1'' forward and 1'' narrow. I wish I would have done more research before i started my project i would have went everything PB. I was going to go with CPP but after two weeks waiting for them to call me back on a order i cancelled out and went with PB, 1/2 hr later after the call to Dave had a invioce ready, a few weeks out but well worth the wait for better parts..

I ordered my static drop stuff from CPP a few years ago and personally had a great experience.

Re: CPP or Porterbult opinions air ride
I have all CPP stuff under my truck. Zero complaints. Will buy from them again and again.

Re: CPP or Porterbult opinions air ride
The OP is looking for parts for an air ride install.
Did CPP ever change the design of their lower a-arm "for BAGS" only? Last I remember they were too small to use anything bigger than a 6" diameter bag. Most C10's run a 7" bag up front.

Re: CPP or Porterbult opinions air ride
Thanks for all of the replies!!
I have ordered a Portbuilt rear set up, should be here in the next week or two, cant wait! Setting up the rear since I already have the body off the frame. Once bodywork is completed I'll do front suspension. Not getting real crazy, just wanted to get down closer to earth, not trying to lay frame on 20's or anything. However, the burb has 15's on it now so it should be pretty close. Not sure what to do with the front quite yet. I was thinking about cupping the stock arms a bit with a basic PB kit or maybe a set of strong arms... |

Re: CPP or Porterbult opinions air ride
Unless things have changed PB arms are $400 cheaper than the Strong arms.
