Can anybody tell me what the side mounted wheel option on a fleet side is.

It is the spare tire mounted inside the bed, between the left wheel well and the cab.

There are times the code is actually more helpful than the description, in the future include that with your SPID questions. The code for that one should be P13. There is a dummy character before the code and two dummies after the code. So yours may read 1P1340 but the P13 is all you need.
