Re: NOS hub caps on Ebay

I don't have my parts book handy, but I think those may be slightly "thinner" than a C-10 hubcap. That is, the profile may not be as deep. Check that out before bidding.

Re: NOS hub caps on Ebay

Im more familiar with the 61-63 caps, but normally chevy had higher standards than this....can the 64-66 guys chime in on it. I know they were probably stenciled, but just seems off a bit. I've just never seen a 61-63 cap that off from the factory.

Re: NOS hub caps on Ebay

When it comes to hubcaps, always do your research! Get the measurements of back sides first. Those are the smaller G 10 van hubcaps that will not fit C 10 pickups.

GM was not in the business of building show cars.

Re: NOS hub caps on Ebay

My knowledge is limited to the chrome caps, but if the painted ones are the same (and I suspect they are), those are 66 only caps. The difference is in the raised ring around the center emblem.

Re: NOS hub caps on Ebay

Just remember that the NOS parts you see now are most likely seconds off the line. I bought a bunch of NOS parts in the 70s and they all had imperfections. The dealer I bought them from told me they were rejects off the line.

Correct, and the outline of the "spinner" is also raised. The '64-
'65 hubcap is not reproduced, just the '66 is reproduced. One of the first things I look for on a restored '64-'65. Here is the correct for '64-'65 C 10 pickup hubcaps ( must be 10 1/4" for standard bump wheels).http://www.ebay.com/itm/1964-1966-CH...36e054&vxp=mtr
