Steering column question

72 c-10 and the guy a bought it from put a newer column in it and I think it's way too long. Does anyone know the original length of a stock column?

I have mine out and can measure it for you if you still need it. I am currently trying to redo it for my build.,

I was thinking for some reason the factory was 33 inches, but I may have just dreamed that. boy that is a sad statement if that is what makes up my dreams isn't it.
