exhaust vapor
on a dual exhaust is it normal for one pipe to have alot of vapor and the other pipe to have hardly any?

Vapor? As in condensation? I know that when I had the duals put on my truck, I would've SWORN that the passenger side dumped more condensation than the driver's side. I watched it for a couple of days and quickly realized that it was just how I was parking. The visible product from the driver's side was being blown under the truck and made the passenger side appear to put out twice as much. Oh, I don't have a crossover (yet), FWIW.
All things being equal, there shouldn't be any appreciable difference on average between the left and the right side of the engine. Crossover pipes, differences in the exhaust, the heat riser (if so equipped), and so forth can make some impact. If it's extreme (as in a huge cloud from one side), you might be looking at a blown head gasket or similar.

should the vapor go away when it is warmed up because it still puts out a little when it is warm.

I get alot of vapor on start up. Mostly from the drivers side for some reason. Maybe even a little oil burnt , but once up to operating temp the truck don't smoke at all. Got me puzzeled too.

During the summer I don't get any vapor (understandable).
The colder it gets, the more my truck blows. WHen it is really cold, like below freezing, it will lessen as it warms up, but there will always be a little bit; usually when ideling. THis is normal for the truck to do. Don't worry about it unless you have some huge cloud of white coming out of one side and not the other

i know in a lot of areas they put an additive in the gas for the winter time and they say the gas is oxygenated for federal emmissions standards and that causes alot of extra vapor
