Re: 1950 Chevy rear mounted fuel tank
I used a tank from a 69 chevelle,it is a bit larger at 22 gal. Also used the factory tank brackets,and sender as well. To get my gage to work i install a resistor pot in series with the sender and gage ,then just turned the dial until the ohm reading matched the original sending unit. The only thing i had to do to the tank was shorten the neck, worked out great and i found the tank matched the slope of the rear fenders.
