Wheel Hub 1970 Chevy Blazer

I know I am always posting questions... I hope one of these days to be able to read something and actually help you guys as well...

I discovered this weekend that one of my wheel hubs is bad. The knurled openings are worn and the lug studs won't seat correctly, if at all. A buddy wants me to weld the studs down, but the way the hub and the rotor sit together, I'd be welding the lug studs to the back of the rotor and have to break the weld if I ever have to change the rotor. I'd rather just get a new hub. (tonight I going to check and verify that it is the hub and not the knurl on the lug studs)

I have a Dana 44 front end that was converted to disc brakes. Of course I discovered this once I had everything back together and when to tighten the lug nuts and they just kept spinning and spinning... Below is my setup.

Does anyone know where I can grab one? I found what I need on RockAuto, but when I went to buy it, it said it was no longer available.

Re: Wheel Hub 1970 Chevy Blazer

Since this was a conversion, I do not know if it was a conversion kit, or if this was taken from a 1972 Blazer... my front axle is the original dana 44.

How did you determine what you needed? What I keep finding that looks the same all fit 1977 or later. Like this:

Bearing size is relevant. Dana 44 has two spindle sizes. You will need to measure the bearings to determine which you have then select your hub based on that info. Mine was the large bearing and I went with the 77-later hub.

Re: Wheel Hub 1970 Chevy Blazer

Here is some part# info I found on a site that may help you identify what you have.

1973: 603374
1974-1975: 603454
1976: 603675, 603706 (also early 1977. These have wheel hubs with 3-1/8" diameter inner races)
1977: 603792 (mid to late production. Wheel hubs have inner races that are just under 3-1/4" diameter )
1978: 610036
1979: 610054

Re: Wheel Hub 1970 Chevy Blazer

If i understand correctly whats up
i would spot weld the stud to the rotor
and not think twice
put the lug nuts on and seat them good and let the metal flow
