Beats the way I did it a few times 50+ lbs square bales by hand. I was actually relieved when the neighbor decided to go to big round bales!
Just curious though, I have never seen hay bailed in this way. How would you get the hay off a stack when time comes to use it? |

Re: Steffen big bale stacker on a C30
I've seen a lot of different style of bales but that's a new one on me. The guys who farm our place have 70 acres of alfalfa and bail it in the rectangular 1000 lb bales and load them on a flatbed trailer with a loader on a tractor. The man drives the truck and his daughter usually runs the tractor with the loader. They stack the bales two high in the field before they pick them up to save time putting them on the truck.
Here is a video of the baler that they bale the straw with http://www.worldvideofans.com/en/vid...8x8-big-balers PFD on the whole system http://alfalfa.ucdavis.edu/+symposiu...1981/81-09.pdf The bail handling setup on the loader. I have seen those setups on loaders around here at some of the dairys . That's some guys who started building their own equipment because they had a need that others couldn't fill and turned it into a manufacturing company turning out equipment used by farmers all over the country.
