Grill Riggin'

Hey guys,

So I have been toying with the idea of putting a 71 style grill on my 69 front.. Is it possible to cut off the horizontal bar on the 69 grill so I can use the 71 insert?

Well, I suppose you could do that. Quick question though, is it an original 69/70 grill, or is it identical to the repro grill like you posted? The reason I ask is the originals have the horizontal stamping that runs all the way through to the headlights, while the repro terminates abruptly just before the headlight. The original in good condition can bring good money.

It's an original one... The only problem is that the grill insert has a few broken spots on it so it'd cost me about $110 to replace that and then sell it.. Not sure if you can see it in the picture or not.. how much do you think I could get if it was in good shape?

Thought there was this push to return it to the 68 bodystyle?

Haha thought I might get you to join in! Yeah that is still the plan- I just thought this would be a good way to have something workable till then. (I also need to re-up that cash reserve..)
