whats braided wire connect to?
On my 68 c10 w/307 there is a flat braided uncoated wire attached to the driverside firewall. THe other end just hangs loose. Does anyone have a pic of a 307 that will give me a clue what this wire does and where the loose end goes?
Thanks in advance.... Hopefully cranking this weekend after a rebuild!

It is a ground strap. It is supposed to be bolted to the block.

If those are unhooked you might want to crawl underneath and check the ones that connect frame rails to block as well.

they will help if you are having goofy ground problems, they also aid in getting rid of ground loops, and noise that comes through your stereo
