Re: Sneak Peek of my 69 C10 project
I sanded the original wood smooth, then painted it with Dupilcolor Semi-Gloss Black and then topped that off with 3 coats of Poly. Not that "deep/wet look", but glossy, hard and the grain shows nicely. It will also be a snap to touch up, as every bit of it was done with a rattle can.

Looks great.
Where do you guys find all these beautiful trucks? I never seem to find ones in that good of shape. And don't have the facilities or skills to put one in that good of shape.

Re: Sneak Peek of my 69 C10 project
I lucked out on finding a 58k mile original Truck. Just so happens one of my friends overheard this elderly gentleman at the local Restaurant saying "he wanted to sell his old Chevrolet Truck" that just happen to be sitting in the parking lot. My buddy asked if that was the truck or sale. The gentleman confirmed it was. My friend got his info, called me and told me about this jewel and I went an bought it that afternoon. With the help of my friend, it just fell in my lap.
