Rear end quote
hey guys, had my 4th carrier bearing shell today along with what I believe the begining of the demise of my stock 3:08 open rearend. My rearend is now clunking when you put it in forward and reverse. Along when you blurp the throttle while driving, it clunks. I have a 3:73 posi rearend that is ready to go minus some brake work. If I take it to the repair shop i'm having my driveshaft repaired, any idea on the cost of swapping the whole damn rearend. Both rearends are 1/2 tons and coil-sprung if that helps any.

Re: Rear end quote
It's really not that difficult to swap it out yourself. Just remove and reattach the panhard bar,u-bolts, shocks, driveshaft and bleed the brakes. A saturday in the garage and you'll be done. Not to mention having a 3.73 posi! Wish I had one.
If you don't have the time I totally get that though.
