Lowering kit or springs
Hey guys I wanted to ask here since I cant find anyone else to give some advice, I purchased a 1972 lowered and when I drove it for the first time,I found that it bottoms out the front tires and the wheels (Rims) are rubbing the lower control arms. I know the truck has 2 drop spindles but do not know anything else about the springs or shocks and I like the look. I guess my question here is go with all new stuff or just springs and shocks, my second question is do I trim the lower control arms go tubular or try spacers first. I intend to keep this truck for a long while so I want to do this right the first time.
Thanks Scott |

Re: Lowering kit or springs
can you see where it is rubbing the control arm ? many on here have modified their stock control arms , a search will confirm , usealy its a slight clearance job , but be carefull its a serious component , with disastrous results if they fail . I am not a fan of tubular arms , some make alignment imposable
