most terminals on fuse block constantly hot

Most of my terminals on the fuse block are hot all the time and my battery is draining. I don't know how the previous owner wired itand I really don't know anything about electrical. Can anyone help me with where to even start. Both ignition terminals are hot with key in off position fuel gauge is hot with key in off position basically all but the radio. Please if you can give me advice how to begin fixing this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

If your harness has been altered or messed with it's going to be hard for anyone to diagnose the issue. Where I would start is at the ignition switch itself because it sounds like you've got a contact in there leaving the power on.

Re: most terminals on fuse block constantly hot

Get yourself a wiring diagram. Make a blown up copy to work with. Start at the battery and work through it. You will probably find a jumper somewhere that a PO used to "fix" a problem. You will probably also find some questionable splices, bare wires and bad switches. Just work through it, take a break when you get frustrated and take your time. You'll come out the other end with a better understanding and confidence in your system or a serious twitch. If money falls out of your pockets you can also buy a painless kit. When you get stumped, take a pic and ask the question,
