remove floor gear shift
trying to remove the floor gear shift on a 66 GMC. It looks like there is a roll pin but we are unable to drive it out. Any information on how to remove would be welcome.

Re: remove floor gear shift
You need to push down on the metal collar at the base of the shifter and turn CCW. Those pins do not go all the way thru, but just enough for the collar to hook under. It sometimes helps to use an adjustable pliers to grip that collar and turn it.
