Howdy guys

Hi , names justin. I'm from Abilene. Texas. I have a 71 c10

Mods. Small amount of engine dress up. American racing wheels. New tires in the rear. Straight pipe exhaust . Aftermarket guages. Cut springs.

I'll give a lil more info on myself now. I work at a boat factory. Use to work on a ranch. And before that I worked for a plumbing company for several years.
I'm engaged to a lovely ladie, but she keeps an eagle eye on what I'm spending to fix my 71 and makes it hard some times . My son will be 3 in September .

Been big into cars my whole life. Cars from days gone by:

My first.. A 1996 ford thunderbird.. Use to be my moms old car. But she wrecked it and we dident let insurance take it. Instead I got to drive it.

#2 1998 ford ranger.. Mom got the ranger after she wrecked the thunder bird. And when we decided it was time for a new car I got the truck.

#3 1998 vw jetta.. My first car I bought myself. It was good on gas. Good ac , had some nice wheels and tires on it and it was what I could afford.. I bought it with a salvage tittle.. And in 2 years time I replaced the motor , suspension work. And then everything electrical fried and I said **** this car.

#4 mid 70's single cab ford dually with a flat bed . I believe it a 460 under the hood and real low gears in the ass . This thing was boss.. But it wasent mine. The boss let me drive it for a while until I get get another car..

#5 1998 z28 Camaro. I went all out this this one. I put c5 vett wheels on it. Pace setter long tube headers. Slp plastic filter lid and intake . Bank 85mm throttle body and intake . Z06 hot cam. Rods springs . Msd coils. And them I ram a 100 spot threw it . It was lowered with a traction arm on it .. We have a 1/8 mile strip here and I got it to run a mid 8..

#6 1971 c10.. I got her cause I dident wanna drive the camaro to work.
It had a rv cam and that was about it. Love that truck.. Well one day my step father crashed his car and asked if he can use my truck cause he knows I'm not gonna let him drive my camaro, so I start driving to camaro and I was running wide tires on all 4 corners . I wreck it into the guard wall one day in the rain. Spend some time in the hospital , get out to find out the motor in my 71 was locked up.. Step father just says idk it just won't start.. So I'm ****ed without a way to work.

#7 1998 Nissan 240sx s14.. Daily driver.

Then got a new truck and started the build on this ..
When it was all said and done. It and big brakes upgrade. Amazing tire and wheels locked rear diff

#8 2005 Chevy silverado 1500 the new daily driver .
Well still building the Nissan

#9 wrecked the truck. Got a 2005 duramax 2500 this time.
Finished building the Nissan. Kicked that 4 banger to the curb and dropped In a turbo straight 6.. Did a few mods to the motor while I was building it. This thing was crazy fast. It was faster down the track than my Camaro was and I was spinning half way down the track and still faster..

#10 I sold the Nissan cause I needed the money for bills and with what I had left over I bought a boat.. 1979 crusader ..

#10 I gave the duramax to the old ladie and I got a 2011 ram 3500..

#11 I sold the boat cause of bills again. And with money left over I bought a 1971 c10 for 800 cash ... And as of right now. It's my daily driver . We had a bad hail storm last week and the dodge got beat up with golf ball to soft ball sized hail.. So the c/10 is getting me to work right now.

If anyone has any question on cars of days gone by or want info or advice or picks just ask

Justin,
Welcome from Grapevine Texas
Great story

Check out the builds from Tx Firefighter

Lots of great information in his builds for the budget minded builder.
He even talks about the hail storms in texas

Have fun
