any wiring experts here?

I bought a new wiring harness (engine) and need some help figuring out where everything goes. It is the harness that runs over the firewall lip, and (i think) hooks up the the starter, dist and other.

the two wires that attach to the starter are yellow and purple, which post on the starter do i attach them to?

Also, there is a brown wire with a boot with a circular connection, a blue wire with a boot with a female spade connector and a green wire with a square female connection.

Thanks for any help

David

I tried to look at my 69 to see where everything goes, but i didn't want to clean off 2" of oil/dirt/grease

Brown should be on the drivers side....master cylinder.
Blue...no idea. Do you have A/C? (this wire was mentioned a few weeks ago, but I can't remember what it is...maybe the Amp guage...as there an inline fuse on it?)
Purple goes to the 'S' terminal on the starter.
Yellow goes to the 'R' terminal. However, if you have HEI, then you need to delete this wire.

So i need to get rid of the yellow wire? Do i just not hook it up, or cut it off (since i have hei)

Where do i hook up the wire for the amp gauge?

To convert for hei, is all i have to do is to run a wire from the ign port on my fuse block to the distributor cap?

Thanks for the help

David

Also, is the R terminal towards the block, or towards the outside to the starter?

Thanks
David
