timed... valves fluttering?
I set the timing today. It fires up fine... Shutsdown fine.. but when driving I can hear the valves fluttering.. timing off still? I have plenty of oil. plz help.

can hear "valves fluttering"? you mean it sounds like spark knock? like BB's in a coffee can wraped in a towel and being shaken?
if so back the timing off until the pinging stops.

results:
backed it off some and now it is idleing good. Good as I can get it without a timing light. Thanks guys for the help :-) Rich
