new to forum
hi guys I am new to this forum thing but I think I could really use your help. I am starting to gut out the whole cab and start to restore everything inside. there is a lot of old dirt, grease etc. inside has anyone found a great way to clean it all out. I don't have the money to have it sand blasted. I was just going to go through and clean everything by hand and sand anything I need to. I think this is how I can show pictures of it.
thanks appreciate the insight. johnny http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1405032531 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1405032531 |

Re: new to forum
Welcome to you from eastern parts of Arkansas. It looks to me you got a better start than some elbow grease and soap and water will go a long way there. Jim

Re: new to forum
Welcome. Looks like you have a good start. Scotch brite pads work well for cleaning and scuffing prior to painting parts.

Re: new to forum
Thats good for removing surface rust from small parts, but for large areas it takes forever and makes a mess. Plus you need to use a respirator.

Re: new to forum
soap and water baby! haha I am in a similar situation right now and I am going to douse things with some simple green and hose her out!
Also good old SOS pads may take some time but they work wonders. I just got done doing my whole entire ceiling inside my cab that had some surface speckling looks way better now. |
