It's finally on the road.....1968 C10
Well I am finally driving my truck after almost two years of working on it. I rebuilt the carb, the steering column, replaced the cab corners and back floors, purchased a new interior, had the seat recovered, and dropped the truck 3 inches in the front and 5 inches in the back. Thank you for all the input.

Re: It's finally on the road.....1968 C10
Thanks for all the compliments. This site has been an invaluable resource for information and ideas. I try to read most of the posts. I ordered the dropped springs from CCP and shocks. Really easy to install. I might go a little lower. I am trying to find a set of newer wheels I can adapt to fit the truck. I would like to go 18" or 20" hopefully. I have put about 150 trouble free miles on it and I always see to get tons of smiles from people. From some reason, the young ladies in this area love my truck as I think somehow my truck relates to country music or something.

As for the paint,....not sure. Thinking I might try to clear it. I am going to start gathering supplies to paint the truck this winter. I love the patina, but I think a nice shade of green and new wheels will be tough to beat. I will keep you posted.
