'70 Nova

I'd wanted a drag car for awhile and was considering which of my 2 project cars was the best candidate. '69 Nova, 350 4spd A/C car or '67 C10 short/step. Both are good solid vehicles that need restoration. I saw this '70 Nova on Craigslist about 3 mos. ago and bought it. Couldn't have nearly even bought the pieces to do my '69 for what I paid for the '70. Plus I kinda hated to turn a good solid A/C, ps, p.disc brake, 4spd. into ANOTHER Nova drag car. There's already PLENTY of 'em. The '70 is a so/so body with a shiny paint job... not my favorite colors or design, bit I can live with it. Car is tubbed, caged, lexan windows, ladder bar/coilover, Ford 9"-spool, 4.56's, alum. radiator, elec. water pump/fan, 10gal. fuel cell, 2 Holley elec. fuel pumps, battery in the trunk, disc. brake front... I just put disc on the rear. Has a p.glide, trans brake, 4500ati converter. B&M ratchet shifter, 2 stages of nitrous & a 13.5-1 internally balanced 406"SB. Brodix heads & intake, solid roller cam and a 1000cfm Holley. It's on 10.5/29.5/15 M/T slicks.
Haven't made it to the track YET, seems to take me forever to get anything done. Finally tracked down the guy that built it and got some useful lifter setting specs & info. I did clamp some welded 3" cheap Thrush mufflers on it and have blasted it around the neighborhood a little. Feels FAST compared to my trucks.
