Yes they look like mag wheels. You say they are 16.5" wheels. Too badm, tire choice is somewhat limited and expensive. BUT they do make these wheels in 16" too, which should fit your brakes fine. So maybe it would be wise to change then out for 16´s because one of yours is damaged anyways and the extra you spend on 16.5" tires, you can buy the 16" wheels and tires for about the same price. There was a website I found, they sell these and have prices too. I have to digg it up and send it to you.

I really love the stance of your truck! I´m looking for a truck similar to that myself. But keep it a little more old school, like yours, no go as crazy as I ahve with my current "never ending project".

It's been a few months since i last updated, but i just had to drop the truck off at the mechanic's shop with a broken driver's side knuckle. We opened the rear differential cover and to my surprise, this truck does have 4.56 gears, which just happens to match the beautiful Dana 60 front diff sitting in his shop!

Now if that is not a good reason to upgrade the front to the D60!! Remember do change the master cylinder and proportioning valve though as you are going from drum/drum to disc/drum!!

Does your original D44 have the 12" drum brakes? Are they still any good?

What did you do to break the knuckle?

You should take a look at the inside of those wheels and see what they are, if they are Ansen Sprints you've got something. Slot mags are my absolute favorite wheel and the only wheel I would put on a '67-'72 K20.

Yeah we will be doing the full disc conversion, hopefully the rear too, with all of the appropriate parts. Doing a high/crossover steer with 2wd steering gear box, detroit mechanical lockers front and rear, redesigned shock mounts up front, new suspension rear, ladder bars on the rear, and I am sure there are some other items I am forgetting. Big job but it is going to be great when it is done. As to how it broke, I have no clue. I haven't had it off road or anything crazy recently.

I just checked out your build thread K20chevy, that is way too cool. I was planning on using the exact transmission and transfer case that you used in your build, but had no clue that anyone had done it and posted it here. I am planning on using the LSX454, which nearly pushes the limits of the torque rating of that transmission. That phase of the build will not happen though until probably next year.
