Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

I seen you in the truck one day this weekend. You were turning at the red light in Lumberton by Crawdads. The truck looked great. If I wasn't in a hurry I would've flagged you down.

Back then, (Not too many years ago) insurance companies wouldnt straighten a frame. The technology was out there, but the industry didnt trust it. So, if the frame was bent in the slightest an insurance company would "total" a truck/car... I am sure no matter what the truck was worth when it was rearended if the frame was tweaked in the slightest insurance company slapped a salvage title on it and paid out...

Thanks guys. First day in gravel parking lot at work. Those half tons dwarf my 3/4 ton.

Truck looks good!! Question on your tailgate band, how did you get it to look so good? As far as it looking polished up the way it does. And what paint did you use on the black part around the edges?

Truck looks amazing! Just curious, how did you get the hood open when the cable wasn't attached?

I went back and looked. He was being a jerk and threatened another member who was merely stating their opinion...end of story.

Re: My 85 C20 "finally getting paint"

I wouldnt say "HE" was being a jerk, but he did merely state his opinion AT FIRST....then others did not like his opinion and spoke theirs....then he just stood up for what he believes in and got it thrown back in his face......happens a LOT in AMERICA now days.
Im not saying that his aggression was right(it was not), but there are people all over that like to taunt others.

I too am like him, you take your car/truck to a show to SHOW IT OFF and be proud of what you have. No need to be an ass about ANYTHING. People go to car shows because it's FUN...there isnt any room for buttholes there. Kids go with there Dads all the time, and they dont need to be treated like that.
I'm really tired of the "My S**T dont stink" attitude any more....FACTS are some people just have more money than others, but that dont mean the "NICER" truck is better than any other....PRIDE in what you are ABLE to accomplish. I've dealt with people at car shows that rope off their junk and are complete jerks...why bother bringing the JUNK then?
rant over.....

Re: My 85 C20 "finally getting paint"

I agree. I was just trying to boil it down to a concise summary. Everything he said was cool, and just his opinion right up to the point where he stepped over the line. No need to threaten someone over a difference of opinion.

He did build a nice truck. It's a shame he isn't still around to talk about it and share insight.
