Re: Need some help cleaning out my kicks
Not an option for you but I drove mine with the vents open after I got all I could with a shop vac then the rest wound up on the floor board. Might want to wear some safety glasses if you chose my route

Re: Need some help cleaning out my kicks
i took my kickpanel air vent things off and then blew air up and down on both sides about 100 times with shop vac and the thin extension in between.
I suppose if you are feeling crazy you could cut out a hole in the side of the cowl to give yourself access and then weld in a patch. That area is covered by the fender so nobody but you would know. |

Re: Need some help cleaning out my kicks
I blew mine out then shoved the water hose down under the cowl and blasted a lot more crap out with the water.

Well its being torn down and rebuilt in my garage. Water,d pribably make a big mess for me. Ill do the air cimpressor idea and blow the hell out of my kickpanals
Nitis: thats how i cleaned out my 1st 67. I had leaves and mouse poop flying everywhere. Its was gross to put it mildly

Re: Need some help cleaning out my kicks
Take the oval inside vent doors off and reach in there and pull it out.

Where does the water come out from? The vent panals?

Re: Need some help cleaning out my kicks
front bottom of firewall there is a opening on both sides of the truck you can blast water from the top of the cowl and in the vent holes and it will come out in the front bottom of the firewall
the piece there that is bulked out in front of the door pillar if you look on the bottom of that you will see a oval hole where all the crap from your vents will come out and what ever is in your cowl |

Leaf blower. Made a helluva mess but the cab was gutted anyway and it worked great.

There was stuff in the bottom of the cowl through the kick panel vents that I could feel but not get out, hands, shop vac, water hose, nothing would work. The leaf blower worked awesome. I stuck it in both the cowl and into the kick panel vent openings. Then I washed all the silt and muck out with the water hose.

Re: Need some help cleaning out my kicks
I did air and water and together they both equal the eyes and hands you can't put in there. Very effective!
