WTB: 402 BB Valve Covers

I would like to find a very nice set of factory BB valve covers. No dings or dents,
maybe needing a good cleaning and paint.
Thanks

Do you want painted ones or will chrome ones work for you?

If wanting chrome valve covers, check with member old wagon. He has a really nice set. Chrome finish is like new.

Re: WTB: 402 BB Valve Covers

Are truck valve covers the same as a 1972 Chevelle would have had? I may have a pair off a 1972 chevelle SS (painted covers). If so they would be free. Just shipping cost. If so PM me since I may not remember to check this posting tomorrow.

Re: WTB: 402 BB Valve Covers

Thankyou for responding guys, I would like to have a set
of painted covers. Not a huge fan of chrome ones, but if their not the
cheap China made covers and at a decent price I might be interested.
As for the Chevelle covers fitting, they should but I'm not 100% on that.
If someone else can confirm they will, let me know.

Thanks
Coby

Does anyone know how I can tell if they are OEM ? I have never had them off my truck and the 396 was in it when I bought it. Apparently the 396 is from a 67/68 Chevelle so maybe they are OEM>>

Re: WTB: 402 BB Valve Covers

I am not sure, but I don't think the aftermarket ones have the oil drippers inside.

Re: WTB: 402 BB Valve Covers

I found them in the barn. You will need to strip , clean inside and out, and paint but they are free if you want. They do not look exactly like the ones pictured though.

Re: WTB: 402 BB Valve Covers

Budnikguy I tried to PM you but could not do so. Thanks for everyone responding about the covers, but I think I may go a different direction since I am not having much luck finding a really nice pair.
