Change of Heart

When I recently acquired my truck I put a lot of thought into what I want it to look like as a finished project. I was leaning toward changing color, getting rid of body molding and larger tires and chrome wheels.

After spending some time looking at pictures on the net and attending a car show I have had a change of heart. In my opinion to many trucks are getting painted solid colors, 20 inch wheels and lowered. Nothing is wrong with this if it is what you like. But for me I think I will work toward a factory look. I want to keep the truck looking original, to me it stands out more as a classic truck.

Cost of new trim might slow me down from putting trim back on..How much $$$ for all new trim??

I think that's a great choice. Each person needs to build to their vision. When I did mine I wanted to keep the exterior & interior stock, and highly modified the suspension and drive line.

I can appreciate all forms of classics.

Yesterday on my way home from work I saw a nice Mach 1 Mustang lowered with modern wheels. It looked good.

My neighbor has classic Chevy with a SBC and rally wheels. Its always great when he pulls it out of the garage.

I agree sometimes i see a truck and think --damn i wish my truck looked like that!
but when you are driving around town and you get the "thumbs up" sign or stop at a light
and and someone says man i love your truck i don't want to change a thing!
you have to find what you like and go for it
