Do these 20" rims look like they would work?
I dont know much of anything about 20 wheels but I found a set of American racing torque thrust style wheels in 6 lug 20x8.5. But by looking at them they dont seem to have much dish at all to them, esp. compared to other smaller diameter Torque thrust wheels I have seen. Is this what I am going to run into by trying to use 6 lug rims, due to the newer style vehicles with pos offset? Or do you think these will work. I havent called about the tire size yet but was first just figuring out if I should even go that far.He wants 900 for everything, tires are supposed to be new.

I forgot to add, the truck I want these for is a lowered 70 C10 that I converted to disc brakes but is still original 6 lug.

I would talk to member weever82. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=544244 The 5.5" backspacing will work on the front. The rear would require spacers. I would be MORE concerned with the small center hub design of these wheels. (since they are really 1999-2013 GM wheels) The disc conversion rotors and rear axle center hubs are huge on these old trucks, compared to the new trucks.

Re: Do these 20" rims look like they would work?
So when I put my american racing wheels on they fit over the front hub but then I found that the hub was too thick for the center cap. I had to modify the caps in the front. Then I put 1.5in spacers on the back. I don't have the exact same wheels but they are close and also have the same BS. You'll find that it is not as easy to find 6 lug wheels for our trucks because they are generally for the newer trucks/SUV. Good luck

Re: Do these 20" rims look like they would work?
Thanks for the help. I don't know the offset but they were org. ordered for late model truck. I think I will pass. Better to save my money and try and find better fitment or pony up and change to 5 lug. What got me thinking was another members truck. But he has 18s on the front and 20 rear. But it looks from the picture his have less positvie offset. Never found out exactly what his rims dimensions are but of course his are 5 lug.

Re: Do these 20" rims look like they would work?
Did you ever go to the link I posted for you? The only 20x8.5" 6 on 5.5" wheel is listed as a +19mm (0.75") offset and a 5.5" bs.

Re: Do these 20" rims look like they would work?
I have these exact rims.... The fronts fit perfect with no spacers and clear my 13" disc brakes with no rubbing or issues...
Rears fit the drums but needed spacers to not rub. Any other questions just let me know. I can always shoot some pics or whatever u need. Posted via Mobile Device
