Hose from air filter to valve cover ....
I installed a new a filter on my sbc and now I need a new hose that goes to what I believe is the Pcv valve in the valve cover. I tried installing a generic hose but the bend is to extreme So the hose crimps shut.
Do the make a pre bent hose ? Thanks |

Re: Hose from air filter to valve cover ....
Mine has a metal tube with rubber hoses on the ends - the metal tube makes the bend, and the rubber hoses are only 3 inches or so long. Maybe you could find one like that at a wrecking yard.

You should be able to buy that hose at a parts store it not you can get the plastic 90 in the heater hose dept and make your own.

Re: Hose from air filter to valve cover ....
Hope I can find a hose, I want it to look as clean as possible. If I install a 90' plastic elbow that would make for 4 visible hose clamps and I don't want that.

You can look on the parts board. OE setups come up for sale frequently

Re: Hose from air filter to valve cover ....
You don't need hose clamps and the plastic 90 is black so you hardly see it. That is only a vent line The PVC should go into the manifold or base of the carb.

Should I not have the Pcv in valve cover?

Re: Hose from air filter to valve cover ....
The pvc should be in the valve cover and go to a vac source either at the base of the carb or directly into the manifold Here is a picture of a pvc valve with the hose going into the base of the throttle body
