Griffin Thermal Products
They are only a 20 minute ride from me so I may ride down there next week and talk to them and just see what they can provide for me.

Re: Griffin Thermal Products
How do you like it? That's what I'm thinking about getting along with a fan shourd for the fans I have are make one.
My radiator now is leaking at the top drivers side it's not bad...yet! I had it cleaned, rodded and redone right before the 2013 Power Tour last June. it started leaking just a bit on this years tour, so I'm thinking buy a new one to go with the LS motor. Is this the one you got? 1971 CHEVROLET C10 PICKUP Griffin Direct Fit Radiators 8-00013-LS http://www.summitracing.com/parts/gr...del/c10-pickup

Re: Griffin Thermal Products
Seems like quite a price jump from the Griffin LS radiator to the Griffin LS radiator/fans/shroud set up. How does it cost almost an additional $500? Seems mighty steep...

Re: Griffin Thermal Products
FWIW I have had 2 custom radiators made by Griffin. One for a '31 Oakland and one for a '46 Chevy. I had a small issue with the Oakland running hot and they bent over backwards to help me solve my issues, even to the point of giving me a free electric fan with a higher volume. They are higher priced then some but they are also cooling engineers who still believe in customer service and taking the time to help hot rodders.
Andy you and will have to meet up some time when I get back into town. I live down the road from you in Westminster, there's a good chance you have seen my other toy around AKA the Clemson Cobra. Rob

Re: Griffin Thermal Products
Ordered my LSX swap radiator on Tuesday and my wife just told me that a big summit box on the porch. I cant wait to get home and open it up. Best part is its made in the US of A and the price was reasonable.

Re: Griffin Thermal Products
I think tomorrow I may take a ride over there and talk with them. I hate to buy a new one since mine is only a few years old but!
I want the added capacity for the LS motor and the hoses being on the passenger side. Does the radiator have the transmission bosses in it? Are do you have to order that?

Re: Griffin Thermal Products
The trans cooler makes it $368.57 but the cooler is on the drivers side which means I would have to re route my lines. I called and asked if it was a generic picture and they didn't know.
I guess I'll keep mine as is for now. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/gr...3-ls/overview/

Re: Griffin Thermal Products
Really good article Andy, thanks for posting.
The Griffin radiators are really nice and completely manufactured in SC. I used the Canton overflow tank as in the article. Here is my Griffin installation. TR http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=615934
