Throttle connection to cab
Hey guys! I'm just about ready to lift my cab off the chassis! So excited can't believe I'm this far, but I still have a long way to go.
Other than a stupid parking brake, the only connection I've yet to disconnect it the throttle assembly going from the cab to the motor. I disconnected the cable from the throttle easy enough on the motor, but the cable is still housed in a metal support thing on the engine. It's some sort of plastic clip slid in a slot in the metal, I don't even know. If someone could explain to me how that can be disconnected, I'd really appreciate it. And while you're here if you know anything about a parking brake that'd be great too haha. Sorry about the photos being upside down. Thanks guys!

Re: Throttle connection to cab
squeeze the plastic pieces of the linkage/cable and it will slide through the metal bracket.
but, id just get a pair of dykes and cut it. it costs about 20 dollars brand new from GM and it will make your pedal feel so smooth with a new cable.. |
