Rubber pads under radiator

Are these special order items or something I might scrounge up in a local parts shack?

Re: Rubber pads under radiator

I've sliced and diced radiator hose as a temporary fix.

Re: Rubber pads under radiator

Check your local pick and pull. If you can find a square body in there, you will find these pieces. I have picked up a couple of sets like this to avoid ordering anything and paying more in shipping that the part costs

Good call, can't believe I didn't think of that! Maybe I'll grab some duct tape and fix some rust while I'm at it.

Re: Rubber pads under radiator

Local dealership will/should have them. When I put a 4 core in my 82 I went to the local Chevy dealer parts dept, had them in stock.

Re: Rubber pads under radiator

Our local stealership is the biggest joke ever, nothing is EVER in stock for any vehicle older than 6-7yrs and the markup is 200-300%.
I got it put back together for now with some scrap radiator hose in place of the top 2 pads and ordered a new pair from LMC to do it right on a warmer day.

I know this is an old one, but exactly what i am going through. no AP store has them. getting ready to order from LMC or summit. i wanted to find out if the ones from LMC were axactly like the original ones. the ones i just took off my radiator had a metal kind of clip thing at the end (dont know exactly what for) but LMC does not have a piture. can you tell me if the LMC worked for you. thanks.
