Need lowering help...
I lowered my c10 awhile ago, the wrong way. Now I'm going back the correct route but have no Idea how low the front of my truck is. It's a flip kit out back, but the front is just cut springs. It's on the bump stops and needs to be brought off them so I can correctly align the tires. I'm just ordering spindles and springs, and I dont know if I should go with 3in drop spindles and 1,2, or 3 inch drop springs.

Re: Need lowering help...
Go with 3 inch spindles. Get a set of stock springs and cut a coil or go with one inch drop and trim half a coil until you get the height you like.

Re: Need lowering help...
I second that.
Mine was 2.5" spindles and 2" drop springs. If I were doing it again, I'd skip the springs and just trim my stock ones until I was happy. |

Re: Need lowering help...
If you are on the bump stops..Your really low. I would go with 3" spindles and 1.5 drop springs. That should get you off the bump stops (remove the rubber).

Re: Need lowering help...
I put it on some of the smaller triangle bump stops instead of the big box stops, and it sits on those so... I just ordered 3' drop spindles and some 2' springs. I got a good deal on the springs, I have a really good set of stock springs if they dont work out to cut down, gonna see where it goes from there. I'll post an update of how it goes this Saturday, here is the truck after I put the old rally's back on it so I can get it to the shop without a trailer. Thats my grandfather on the left if you're curious haha.
And I would love air-ride. But thats even more money. Maybe down the road. Last edited by Wilkrsn; 08-13-2014 at 07:38 PM. |
