Burb cover?
Does anyone make a car cover for our burbs? I'm going to trailer mine cross country in a few weeks. I'd like to protect the new paint.

Re: Burb cover?
I don't know if they make specific for our years,
But I'm sure a cover for a newer Yukon or suburban Would work good. I'm in the market for one too. |

Re: Burb cover?
Yeah I didn't expect one for our series but I'm hoping somebody knows a compatible one.

Re: Burb cover?
Call California Car Cover Co. Ask them about using a cover while trailering. J

Re: Burb cover?
Ok I just ordered a cover but it's not to be used while being towed. Wind and the dirt in the air act like sandpaper.

Re: Burb cover?
If you really want to protect it while towing try going down to a local trucking company. Any company that uses flatbeds. See if they have any used tarps that are being retired. Many times the companies have to retire them when they get a hole or damaged. I bought one that had a hole 10 feet in. It was 40 feet long. So I trimmed 10 feet off and now have a 30 foot heavy duty tarp that I use on my trailer when I'm hauling something that needs to be covered.
Brand new these tarps go for $300-$400 but sometimes you can get a good deal on a used one. I'd cover the burb with your standard cover then cover with the trucking tarp over that. Here is an example I found on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Flatbed-Truc...item3a8b2adbb9 Last edited by spacedebris; 08-13-2014 at 07:59 PM. |
