66 Fleetside seat swap from bench to 2000 Silverado buckets help needed
Swapping out bench for buckets with cab fuel tank currently. I've removed the bench and set buckets in. Did a search on the forum and haven't seen anything useful yet. Any mounting suggestions or considerations would be appreciated.

Re: 66 Fleetside seat swap from bench to 2000 Silverado buckets help needed
i put 1999 chevy bucket seats in my 66. there the seats with the seat belts in the seat. i have my gas tank in the cab. i installed them , drilled new holes in the floor , i did not interfere with the old bench seat holes in case i wanted to switch back. they do take up a little bit of more space , im 5'9" and it is a little closer to the steering wheel , but i can live with it.

I put a power one from a 2002 Tahoe in my 65.
You will need to massage the trans hump a little and you need to put the center in first, then the two seats. mark your holes and drill a pilot hole. I didnt have anything in the way but you should check first. Get you some 1/8" plate about 3" x 3" to back up the bolts and then drill your holes.

Thanks for the replies. I've mounted the seats and added a 1999 suburban center console. Did not want the center seat section since I have 4 on the floor. Will load some pics from the phone tonight.

This gives me some ideas. does anyone know what the length of the steering column is? what if I install after market steering column that's 28.5" long, would that give me more room

Look great. I have a set of seats from a 2002 Silverado sitting in the basement. I just can't bring myself to take out the original bench seat even though it is desperate need of being redone..
