Looks good but he likes it a lot more than I do.If it's been off the road for almost fifteen years,it'll probably need a new brake system, new seals/gaskets and new rubber.Still a nice survivor.

Re: CL 1970 Chevy Camper Special C20

Looks like Chevy misspelled "Camper Special" on the fenders . So,they end up with the old man's pride and joy camper truck, all they see is big bucks and want to sell. So,not knowing what they are doing, they dump way too much gas into the carb and all over the top of the engine, start a fire, burn the paint off the hood, the wires off the motor, and probably warped the carb. They are lucky to still have a truck for sale. I wonder how much they knocked off due to the damage they caused, cuz they sure want an awful lot now

So THATS what the holes and plates in the sides of my cowl are for! Dad told me the guy he got it from used to haul a camper in it, I never thought about the overhead supports.

Nah,I wasn't bustin' you. The seller is the one who listed it as a Camper Special. You just called it what he did. I stopped busting people on that anyway (except sellers who are strangers) ever since I realized even GM printed Camper Special on some 71/72 SPIDs. I just wanted to put it in a funny way. It's one thing to call them that, but how does someone read a "Custom Camper" emblem and see "Camper Special"? ADD?

That truck is an awesome find. I'd love to buy that. I did buy one years ago and was amazed to find one so intact back then. Look at that interior! It would have to be ready to go camping in condition for me to pay $10k. I'm sure that camper could use some attention after all that sitting, let alone the truck. If you can't drive it out of there,it will be a hassle to haul. Is that figured in?
