235/85/16 would look awesome on your truck!

I think it would look good, but I'm not sure how it would drive with the powerglide and 3.73. Decisions, decisions...

Re: My lucky find for today

Great score!!
Quick question for you guys...did they make the 16" rims for the 5 bolt Chevy's? (ie: '71 / '72's)
I'd like to get a set of those to have a complete set of higher 'load' tires for those 'heavier' days.....LOL

They did in fact make 5 lug 16" wheels. I saw a set just the other day.

Re: My lucky find for today

Finally got the wheels painted and installed. I ended up going with 235/75/16. From what I've been able to find, these rims would've been fitted with 6.50-16. The 235/75's are obviously a little wider, but are very close to the correct overall diameter of approximately 29.90". I'm pretty happy with the way it looks.

Re: My lucky find for today

That looks nice! Do you have any more pictures since you put the 235/75/16's on?

Re: My lucky find for today

I love the stock 16" steelies! I would love to see more pictures of your truck, looks very good! I put stock GM 16" steelies on my 67 too, I went with 225/70/R16 though. The 16" are no doubt hard to find!

Thank you! I'm really pleased with how it looks. I really wanted to run 245/75/16's, but they would've been to wide for these rims. I'll post some more pics.

Thanks for the compliment! It took me forever to piece together a good set. I actually went thru 10 total to find 5 good ones. Now I have 4 centers and a repairable spare laying around. I'll try to take some more pics this weekend. This is one from a few weekends ago.
