stall converter question

So I complete my engine tranny electrical upgrade but used my stock stall converter with my new built 350 with an aftermarket cam.... I made a mistake right? Does not want to idle in gear. Drops from 900 rpm to 425 ish. Anyone have a good stall converter 2500 to 2700 for sale?
