Bed wood for the Longhorn
-
I finished cutting and routing the wood for the longhorn today. Now to install it. I am using White Cedar and have $70 in the wood. I bought a Horkey Oak wood kit for a long wheelbase truck from a guy with an abandoned project, and used it for a pattern. I just had to add 6 inches to the length of each board. I will use the Oak wood kit in my '71 C-20. If I keep going I will get this thing on the road yet... LockDoc

Re: Bed wood for the Longhorn
very nice... I purchased rough sawn Black Walnut and plan to do the same. You can find all of the specs for bed wood on GMCPauls website.

That's going to look nice. What finish are you using?

Re: Bed wood for the Longhorn
home made router table? Cool deal Leon. Now go spray the weeds in the driveway.
I was going to do the same thing for my step side with maple but cedar sounds better. I have the plans from GMC Paul.

Yes, I made the router table years ago and have used the crap out of it. If I kill the weeds the rabbits won't have anything to eat except Pat's garden plants... LockDoc
