Let's talk Shock Absorbers

I'll be replacing my failing body mount bushings soon and would like to replace my worn out shock absorbers as well. My K5 is stock height and will also have a new set of 31x10.50 BFH AT KOs in the very near future as well. I wanted to use some Billsteins, but I can't find any that are available for first gen K5s. Looking for the best riding shocks. The truck will mainly be used as a family cruiser for camping and beach trips.

What are y'all using?

Re: Let's talk Shock Absorbers

Bilsteins 4600 series makes a set that will fit the front. I ordered a pair for mine, but then I sent them back because I wanted to run the same brand shock all around and have the same look, so I found these Skyjacker monotubes for K5 Blazer's that have stock ride height.

I also like the gray color, I think they will look nice once I get them installed.

Re: Let's talk Shock Absorbers

Thanks for the info. Please let us know how they ride. Anything would be an improvement to the tired shocks I currently have right now. Just trying to get the best available right now.

Will do. It will be few months until I know how they ride since i'm in the middle of a build.

When I first bought the truck about 8 years ago, they had bilsteins up front and monroes in the back and from what I remember it rode nice. Not to harsh and not to soft either, really plush
