Exterior Door Handle Sources
I bought one from LMC for my '72 and it broke pretty quickly. Are the ones from Brothers or Heartbeat any better quality?
Thanks! |

Re: Exterior Door Handle Sources
I got some from eBay for $43 shipped and have a 10 year warranty. Only been on my truck a few days so far. We'll see how they hold up.

Re: Exterior Door Handle Sources
I bought one from GMC Pauls. The ad says they're improved to prevent the back from falling off. I'll report back once I receive it.

Re: Exterior Door Handle Sources
I did purchase one handle. At first glance, it didn't look any different than the LMC handle. I contacted GMC Pauls and asked how it'd been improved. They indicated that they had bent the tangs that hold the bottom plate onto the back of the handle. They also suggested epoxying the edges of the plate to help hold it in place.
The improvement looks marginal at best, but it's probably better than the last one I purchased. I've installed it, so time will tell how well it holds up. |

topbananaparts.com has a lot of stuff. Will be getting some of my interior parts there. Prices seem good too, close to AMD
