Portland Shop
Hi, I'm new to the forum and new to the Portland, OR area. Hoping this is the right spot for this post. I'm looking for some shop space to rent to knockout a '49 AD build. I’m negotiable on price and willing to trade work. Any leads would be appreciated.

can you provide any details about what you are looking at doing to your truck. are you looking for a shop to build your truck or a space that you provide your own tools? i might be able to lead you in the right direction for local people. chizzler

Right now I have a truck, budget, schedule, half the tools, and a vision. I want to go IFS with 4 link in the back, 275/40 R17, power brakes - disks all around, power steering, LS engine, auto transmission, and 9" rear end. I want a daily driver that rips. I'm not too worried about the aesthetics just needs to be functional.
I know some parts of this build will test my patients and skills but I'm confident I can pull it off. A shop to work in seems to be my biggest hurdle at this point. So much so that I'm actually considering paying someone to start on the suspension just to stay on schedule. Recommendation for a builder and/or a shop to work in would be a huge help. Thanks in advance |

i will talk to my buddy bruce too see if he can make time to get the rolling chassie going. if you look at either of my builds they were both built at his shop. i know he's not going to let someone work or store a truck at his place. this weekend is the canby swap meet. i will get back to you soon.chizzler

I'm assuming Bruce is at the Vintage Rod Barn? I'd love for him to do work on my rig. Let me know what he thinks. I did find a nice old barn between Sherwood and Newberg I can keep it for a while but it's not setup to work in and I am planning on swinging by Canby.

I found shop space out in the St. Johns area for under 1k a month. I think it was around 1400 sq ft? It was in a shared building almost right under the St. Johns bridge. Every inner shop had power and secure doors with big enough doors for cars or trucks.
