new to the site....

Hi guys, I am new to this site and just bought a 71 C10 Shortbox as my last longbox was written off and thought I would stop in and say hi and share some pictures. I also have a couple of First Gen Monte Carlo's as well and am a member of the FGMCC as well.
Darren.

Re: new to the site....

Thanks Guys, here are a couple more pics. One from the rear parked in the garage and one of the inside with a different steering wheel as I didnt like the aftermarket one that was on the truck when I got it. I added the woodgrain to tie into the woodgrain that came on the C10 and is still a GM wheel and Green...

Re: new to the site....

Yes, The after market radio did bug me as well as the previous owner had it put in. But at least it was well done and no scratches around it or over cut in size so I will have to live with it. The steering wheel is from a 1970 Monte Carlo and was the factory steering wheel for that year and the woodgrain ad ons were from a 1970 Impala that used the same steering wheel that year as did the 70 Chevelle. in the middle of the steering wheel where the Impala emblem went I added a sail panel emblem from a 72 olds that says Custom on it which went well with the truck as its has the CST or Custom package. The truck has had a Full frame off restoration and paint and body was done at same time with the interior and was done not quite 2 years ago.

Re: new to the site....

Welcome to the board. Nice looking truck, but then again I'm a little biased to that color combo:-) The steering wheel is a nice personal touch. I probably wouldn't have cut the dash for radio but now that's it done it gives you a lot of choices for great sound.

Welcome from Saskatoon. . You will meet many, many super great people on this site and get any info you need. Is your truck a Canadian truck or was it imported form the USA?
